BREAKING NEWS

Rosie was quite excited that her news made CNN's breaking news. Personally we are really excited that she is off the View - now we can watch it without our stomachs turning. She is so fowl and disgusting. Everything she stands for and represents is just awful. Doug Wright had a major discussion this morning about her on his radio program. Let's just say ABC is better off without her!

We're Obsessed!

Maybe it's the smells, or the music, or maybe the chance to be a kid again. Whatever it is we LOVE Disneyland! Leisy and I know the real reason Disneyland is so amazing - MAGIC. Disneyland is magical.

Here are a few more!

Maybe we're morbid...

Maybe we're morbid but our latest activity has been discussing all the possible genetic disorders our child might have. It's amazing how much the absence or addition of ONE nucleotide out of millions could seriously alter the life of an individual! We've come across some really unique diseases. Here are a few of our favorites:

Maple Syrup Urine Disease - your urine smells like maple syrup
Tay Sachs - no protein to destory harmful fats that accumulate in the brain
Cytic Fibrosis - Mutation in the gene that produces sweat, digestive juices and mucus
Cri du Chat - the baby's cry sounds like a screaming cat!
Klinefelter's - caused by chromosome aneuploidy - affects male's ability to reproduce
Color Blindness - travels on the X chromosome
Huntington's disease - a trinucleotide expansion in one gene - causes major problems

Leisy's 190 students just turned in reports about genetic disorders. She was very busy grading papers - I'm SO glad she teaches Biology and not English!

Our doctor is fairly confident that our baby does not have Down's Syndrome. But I'm including that one as well. Trisomy 21 - look how dang cute!

DNA has saved the day again!

Yes that's right! Once again the DNA molecule has changed the history of the world!!

And the Biologists rejoice and praise Watson and Crick for their amazing discovery. (Kent would also like to give two "shout-outs" to Rosalind Franklin!)

DNA analysis has proven Larry Birkhead to be the father of Dannilynn. Anna Nicole may be rolling in her grave over this announcement.

my fetus' skull

Okay, so I actually think that this is adorable!! This is what the skull of a 34 week fetus looks like. My fetus is about 34 weeks.
Life is still too easy to be this pregnant! I am prepping myself for the last month, i'm sure i'll get more uncomfortable.
Hopefully I make it to the evening of the 31st. That's when I want to have the baby. Everybody cross your fingers. I figure I can think my body into waiting until at least then. Mind over matter. I'm due on the 30th.
